Ainu Global is an organization that seeks to raise the awareness of the interactions that the Ainu have made internationally. A common misconception exists surrounding the Ainu, and that is that they are an indigenous group localized within Hokkaido and Japan. However, the Ainu have actually been on the global stage of history for hundreds of years and have interacted with countries and groups from around the world. By revealing the global significance and history of the Ainu, we hope to connect the Ainu to people from all parts of the globe, and therefore contribute to raising awareness about the issues that the Ainu face today.
