AinuToday is a knowledge-sharing platform, consisting of three parts: scholarship, advocacy, and art. AinuToday is a unique change from most of the representations of the Ainu in the past, introducing a new way to learn about Ainu people and culture. It focuses on the contemporary aspects of Ainu livelihood and expression, which goes beyond the stereotyped or essentialized view of the Ainu people in the past. 

IWGIA - International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs - is a global human rights organisation dedicated to promoting, protecting and defending Indigenous Peoples’ rights.

Since 1968, IWGIA has cooperated with Indigenous Peoples' organisations and international institutions to promote recognition and implementation of the rights of Indigenous Peoples. IWGIA works to empower Indigenous Peoples through documentation, capacity development and advocacy on a local, regional and international level. They also have a profile on the situation of the Ainu on their website. 

Minority Rights Group International (MRG) campaigns worldwide with almost 300 partners in 60 countries to ensure that disadvantaged minorities and indigenous peoples, often the poorest of the poor, can make their voices heard. They also have a profile on the situation of the Ainu on their website.

The Ainu Association of Hokkaido is an official organization made up of Ainu who live in Hokkaido, which aims to "work to improve the social status of Ainu people and to develop, transmit and preserve Ainu culture in order to establish the dignity of the Ainu people." 

The Act on the Promotion of Measures to Achieve a Society in Which the Dignity of the Ainu People is Respected was enacted in April 2019, and in May of the same year the Foundation was designated as the sole corporation in the nation recognized to carry out the work stipulated in the act. In addition to Ainu cultural promotion projects that the Foundation had been involved in, the Foundation was put in charge of the operation and management of the National Ainu Museum and Park “Upopoy,” which opened in July 2020. The Foundation intends to make further efforts to realize a society where the Ainu’s dignity is respected, while promoting coordination with the national and Hokkaido governments and related organizations.
